You can fix a cracked laptop screen

Step 1. Remove the battery and make sure it's not plugged in to a power source.

Step 2. Remove the Bezel around the screen.  

Step 3. Unscrew screen from hinges

Step 4. Carefull lean screen forward towards you and carefull remove the plugs in the back.  They are usually taped on so remove tap first.

Step 5. Remove screen from back panel and hinges, make sure that all the cables are removed from the back.

Step 6. Remove power inverter

Step 7. Locate replacement part number or model number, this is usually located on the back of the screen.

Step 8. Look up part or model number on eBay for new screen.

Step 9. Order the screen replacement, make sure it's the exact number on the screen. It may not work if you don't have the exact number.

Step 10. Once shipment arrives carefully remove it from packaging.
